The Position

- The mission for the Epic owner is to define the EPIC by working collaboratively with stakeholders and cater to Services & Connectivity stream deliveries.
- You will manage interfaces with other Vehicle and Technology streams as well to coordinate the cross functional deliverables (E.g., operation, after market, back office, ..)
- Our core epic solving teams consists normally of concept developers, cyber security engineers, verification leaders and system/SW Architect.
- You will drive the EPIC through various decision points in the Technology Committee for approval and introduce the actual implementation of the concept to the different ARTs (Agile Release Trains).
- The EPICs in the Services & Connectivity are related to our technology roadmaps which are SW&HW; Connectivity platforms, Communication technologies, Time and positioning, Assistance request & Emergency calls and other Connected Solutions for the 'Telematics Gateway Generation – 3' Product.
- The size and complexity of the EPICs vary and the involvement from other Vehicle and Technology streams are frequent.
- As an EPIC Owner at Services & Connectivity, Bangalore, you will mainly manage EPICs for the 'Telematics Gateway Generation – 3' Product.

You will report to the Group Manager – System, Security and Verification in Services & Connectivity, Bangalore.

Responsibilities

- Ensure the complete product delivery according to the EPIC description.




- Detect and propose improvement of the Epic description based on the roadmap – balance with responsibility of Product Manager/ Product Owner
- Plan the right sequence of milestones and align these milestones with concerned parties cross-functionally, including related EPICs and IB (Intro Block) milestones.
- Ensure Epic breakdowns into a sequence of capabilities and features meeting the milestones.
- Synchronize capabilities to secure that milestones are met and escalate when needed with the product owners.
- Support and communicate across organizational boundaries, to safeguard the complete EPIC delivery.
- Secure budget, financial decisions and follow up for the scope of the EPIC.
- Build and update the Business case for the complete product change when applicable.

Requirements

- Bachelor/Master of Engineering in one of the following Streams - Electronics & Communication, Electrical & Electronics, Computer Science or equal.
- Experience of Project/Product management as an EPIC Owner or Project Manager or Business Analyst or relevant Technical Leadership.
- 10 to 15 years of experience in embedded software, hardware and system development, preferably in the Automotive industry.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Protected Agile Way of Working and mindset is a plus.
- Strong networking abilities adapt to a multicultural environment.
- High customer and business focus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
