We are not looking for a conventional hire.

We're looking for a builder - someone who has either founded something, worked next to a founder, or run a function with the kind of ownership that makes the difference between a deck and a real business. As an Entrepreneur in Residence at KollegeApply, you will be embedded with the founding team to identify, design, and launch a new vertical from the ground up. You will own the P&L;, drive the go-to-market, and be held accountable the way a founder would - with the full support of anexisting team, platform, and brand behind you.

This is not a Chief of Staff role with a fancy title. This is a zero-to-one charter. You will travel Pan India to meet partners, institutions, and customers. You will make calls, break things, and iterate fast.

The best outcome for both sides is that you're running your own vertical - or spinning it into something bigger.

Key Responsibilities

- Vertical Ownership: Identify and validate a new business vertical - from hypothesis to structured business case to live pilot
- P&L; Accountability: Own the end-to-end P&L; for your vertical - revenue targets, cost management, unit economics, and investor reporting
- Go-to-Market: Design and execute the go-to-market strategy - partnerships, pricing, distribution, and demand generation
- On-Ground Execution: Travel Pan India to meet colleges, institutions,



channel partners, and enterprise clients - build relationships on the ground
- Founder Collaboration: Work directly with the founding team on high-priority cross-functional initiatives spanning product, growth, and ops
- Data-Driven Decisions: Use data to identify growth levers, bottlenecks, and inflection points; build dashboards and track leading metrics
- Team Building: Hire, structure, and manage a small team as the vertical scales

What we are looking for :
- 1-4 years of work experience with demonstrable ownership and impact
- Tier 1 college background - B.Tech or MBA (IITs, NITs, IIMs, ISB, XLRI, or equivalent)
- Prior role as a founder, co-founder, Chief of Staff, Founder's Office member, EIR, or in a CEO's Office / Strategy function
- Comfort with ambiguity - you create structure, you don't wait for it
- Strong analytical skills - you can build a business case and defend it in numbers
- Excellent communication - you can write a crisp brief, run a client meeting, and present to investors
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively Pan India

Nice to Have
- Prior experience at an early-stage startup in a 0- 1 environment
- Exposure to edtech, B2C tech, or marketplace businesses
- Fundraising experience or exposure to investor conversations
- Comfort with tools like Notion, SQL, Figma, or basic no-code stacks
