Position Summary The Engineering Squad Lead is responsible for leading a cross-functional engineering team to deliver high-quality software solutions that align with business objectives. This role combines technical leadership, quality engineering expertise, and strong people management to drive engineering excellence, foster collaboration, and ensure the successful delivery of products using modern software development methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering squad.

Drive the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects within agreed timelines.

Promote engineering best practices, coding standards, and software quality across the team.

Champion quality engineering principles, including test automation, continuous testing, and defect prevention.

Apply Agile and other contemporary software development methodologies to improve team efficiency and product delivery.

Collaborate with Product Managers, Architects, QA, and other stakeholders to define priorities and technical solutions.

Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to software engineering standards and design principles.

Identify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies.





Support continuous improvement initiatives by monitoring team performance and delivery metrics.

Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Required Skills

Solid leadership and team management skills.

Expertise in Quality Engineering practices and quality-first development.

Solid understanding of software engineering methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, and DevOps principles.

Strong knowledge of software development concepts, architecture, design patterns, and SDLC.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and software quality metrics.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Robust communication and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to mentor engineers and build high-performing teams.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2–3 years in a technical leadership or engineering management role.

Experience leading Agile engineering teams delivering enterprise-scale applications.

Familiarity with cloud platforms, DevOps practices, and modern software engineering tools is preferred.
