Role Overview :

As a Engineering Manager (Full Stack), you will spearhead the technical evolution of our digital learning platforms. You will be responsible for architecting scalable web solutions, overseeing the end-to-end development lifecycle, and mentoring a high-performing engineering team based in Kolkata. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy and technical execution, requiring you to collaborate closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust, high-performance features that enhance the learning journey for our global student base.

Key Responsibilities :

- Architect and build scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications using modern full-stack frameworks to ensure a seamless user experience for our students.
- Lead and mentor a team of developers, conducting code reviews and fostering a culture of technical excellence to maintain high engineering standards.
- Manage the end-to-end software development lifecycle, from initial system design and database schema modeling to deployment and production monitoring.




- Optimize database performance and query efficiency within PostgreSQL using Prisma to ensure rapid data retrieval for our high-traffic platforms.
- Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines to automate testing and deployment processes, reducing time-to-market for new features.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical roadmaps and prioritize feature development based on business impact and user feedback.
- Oversee cloud infrastructure management on AWS, ensuring high availability, security, and cost-effective scaling of our digital assets.

Required Skillset :

- Demonstrated expertise in building complex web applications using React.js and Next.js, with a deep understanding of server-side rendering and state management.
- Strong proficiency in backend development using NestJS and TypeScript, capable of building modular, maintainable, and testable microservices.
- Proven ability to design and manage relational databases using PostgreSQL and Prisma ORM to support data-intensive applications.
- Hands-on experience with containerization using Docker and orchestrating deployments within AWS environments.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, and guide a technical team toward achieving project milestones.
- Strong problem-solving aptitude and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
- A minimum of 5 - 7 years of professional experience in full-stack development, with a track record of leading technical projects from conception to completion.
- Ability to work effectively in an on-site workplace in Kolkata, fostering direct collaboration and team synergy.
