Role Overview The Engineering Delivery Manager will lead the planning, coordination, and on-time delivery of work across Octagos' engineering teams building and scaling our digital health platform. This role centers on delivery ownership, execution discipline, and cross-functional coordination, ensuring engineering commitments are met predictably and work flows smoothly across product, QA, DevOps, clinical, and operations partners.

The ideal candidate is a strong people leader and delivery operator who can plan roadmaps, run agile ceremonies, manage dependencies and risks, remove blockers, and keep US and India teams aligned. Solid technical literacy is expected so the manager can facilitate informed trade-off discussions and partner effectively with technical leads and architects. This is a delivery and leadership role rather than a hands-on engineering role.

This is a night-shift role (6:00 PM to 3:00 AM IST) to maintain real-time collaboration with our US-based product, clinical, and customer teams. Candidates should be comfortable with sustained night working hours.

Reporting and Team

- Reports to: VP Engineering.
- Team size: approximately 30+ engineers across multiple product and platform teams.
- Location: Noida office (in-person); collaborates daily with US-based teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Delivery Ownership and Execution

- Own end-to-end delivery of the engineering roadmap, ensuring features and improvements ship on time and to a consistent quality bar.
- Plan and run sprint planning, backlog prioritization, estimation, and release cycles in partnership with Product Owners and technical leads.

- Drive team predictability: track throughput, cycle time, and commitment versus delivery, and manage the team to reliable outcomes.
- Proactively identify, track, and remove blockers, dependencies, and risks across teams and functions.

- Maintain a transparent, current view of delivery status and communicate it to stakeholders on a regular cadence. 2. Team Leadership and People Management

- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing, engaged engineering team.
- Conduct performance reviews, coaching,



and career development planning.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and outcome-driven culture.
- Manage capacity, staffing, and workload balance across the team. 3. Cross-Functional Coordination

- Serve as the primary delivery point of contact across product, QA, DevOps, clinical, and operations teams.
- Keep US and India teams aligned through clear communication, shared plans, and reduced handoff friction.
- Coordinate release readiness and go-live activities with all involved functions.
- Translate business priorities into sequenced, deliverable plans in partnership with Product. 4. Process and Continuous Improvement

- Own and continuously improve the team's agile delivery process, ceremonies, and ways of working.
- Streamline workflows, reduce handoff friction, and eliminate recurring sources of toil.

- Partner with technical leads to ensure design reviews, code review practices, and Definition of Done are consistently followed, without owning the technical decisions themselves.
- Partner with technical leads and architects to establish, maintain, and enforce engineering and architecture standards, ensuring they are consistently applied across teams without owning the technical decisions themselves.

- Support adoption of AI-assisted delivery and QA automation practices (for example Claude and Playwright) to increase team speed and quality. 5. Metrics and Reporting

-Define, track, and report on delivery and engineering health metrics, including throughput, cycle time, sprint velocity, commitment versus delivery, code review turnaround, and defect trends.

- Report on DORA metrics (deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, MTTR) in partnership with engineering leads.
- Publish regular delivery and engineering health updates to leadership, with clear narrative on progress, risks, and improvement actions.
- Monitor delivery signals and act early to keep releases on track. 6. Operational and Compliance Support

- Coordinate on-call rotations and incident response processes to support platform reliability and rapid recovery.
- Ensure delivery practices support platform availability, performance, and security expectations.

- Ensure work adheres to healthcare data security and regulatory requirements.
- Support integration efforts with healthcare systems such as EHR platforms and medical devices.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering,



or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in software product delivery environments.
- 8+ years in delivery management, program management, or engineering management.

- Proven track record of delivering software products on time in agile environments.
- Strong command of agile delivery methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe) and modern delivery tooling (for example Azure DevOps, Jira).

- Sufficient technical literacy with modern web and cloud stacks (for example .NET, Angular, Azure, SQL databases) to lead engineering teams and facilitate informed trade-off discussions.

- Experience managing dependencies and coordinating delivery across distributed teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in healthcare, MedTech, digital health, life sciences, pharma, or another highly regulated industry.

- Delivery or project management certification (for example PMP, PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster, or SAFe).
- Familiarity with healthcare integrations (EHR/EMR, HL7, FHIR).
- Understanding of compliance and security frameworks such as SOC 2, HITRUST, and HIPAA.

- Experience leading or coordinating distributed or global teams across time zones.
- Familiarity with AI-assisted SDLC tools and QA automation frameworks (for example Claude, GitHub Copilot, Playwright).

- Awareness of AI and analytics driven product capabilities and how they shape delivery planning.
