Roles and Responsibilities - MRO Engineer
- Manage procurement and availability of MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Operations) items
- Identify and source spares, consumables, and indirect materials for plant needs
- Coordinate with maintenance and production teams for requirements planning
- Maintain inventory levels and ensure critical spares availability
- Track consumption trends and optimize stock levels to reduce cost
- Develop and manage vendor base for MRO supplies
- Ensure timely PR/PO creation and follow-up for material delivery
- Maintain records of MRO items, usage, and inventory in ERP system
- Support preventive and breakdown maintenance with quick material supply
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and statutory requirements
- Drive cost reduction initiatives through alternate sourcing and negotiations
- Maintain proper storage, identification, and 5S in MRO stores
