Job Responsibilities: Operate and maintain Main Receiving Substation (MRSS) and HT/LT electrical distribution systems. Monitor and maintain transformers, VCBs, ACBs, switchgear, busbars, isolators, and protection relays. Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipment.

Carry out operation and maintenance of 11kV/33kV/66kV/132kV substations as applicable. Monitor power quality, power factor, load balancing, and energy consumption. Operate capacitor banks, DG sets, battery chargers, UPS systems, and emergency power systems.

Attend electrical faults and restore power with minimum downtime. Perform relay testing, insulation resistance testing, earth resistance testing, and thermography. Maintain MCCs, PCCs, HT/LT panels, motors, cables, and control systems.





Coordinate planned shutdowns and electrical isolation using LOTO procedures. Maintain daily logbooks, equipment history, and maintenance records. Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, statutory regulations, and permit-to-work systems.

Coordinate with electricity board/utilities during outages and maintenance activities. Support commissioning of current electrical equipment and plant expansions. Maintain electrical drawings, SLDs, and preventive maintenance schedules.

These responsibilities are consistent with common MRSS operations in industrial facilities.
