Role Description
Day-to-day tasks include checking manuscripts for completeness, consistency, and basic language quality before formal copyediting, as well as verifying references, formatting, and adherence to publisher guidelines.
The role involves identifying and flagging potential issues in structure, style, and metadata, and coordinating with editors and project managers to ensure smooth handover to subsequent production stages.
Maintaining accurate records, follows established workflows and style guides,
and meets quality and turnaround-time targets.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams and proactive communication regarding project status and issues are essential.
Qualifications
- Passion for reading and eye for detail
- Willingness to pursue a career in editing
- Robust command of the English language
- Recent Graduate/Post - Graduate from any stream
