Job Title : Principal Technology Architect

Location : Mumbai (Andheri)

Role Overview :

We are looking for a Principal Technology Architect to lead the architecture, development, and delivery of our cybersecurity awareness and phishing simulation platform (Aware) at EC-Council. This role will be responsible for designing scalable systems, leading engineering teams, ensuring high-performance delivery, and aligning technology with business goals.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Architecture &

- System Design :
- Design and evolve scalable, high-performance backend systems
- Define architecture for multi-tenant SaaS and on-prem deployments
- Ensure system reliability, scalability, and security best practices
- Drive microservices adoption and system modernization

2.

Engineering

Leadership :

- Lead and mentor a team of developers (backend frontend)
- Drive code quality, design standards, and best practices
- Review architecture, code, and technical decisions
- Collaborate with product, QA, and DevOps teams

3. Product &

- Delivery Ownership :
- Own end-to-end delivery of features and releases
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Handle client-specific customizations and enterprise deployments
- Ensure timely and high-quality releases

4. Performance &

- Scalability :
- Optimize systems for high concurrency (100K-200K users)
- Improve performance using caching, queues, and async processing
- Conduct load testing and capacity planning

5. DevOps &

- Infrastructure :
- Work with cloud (AWS/Azure) and on-prem infrastructure
- Oversee CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Ensure monitoring, logging, and alerting systems are in place

6. Security &

- Compliance :
- Implement secure coding practices (OWASP)
- Ensure compliance with standards like ISO 27001
- Handle VAPT fixes and security audits

Stakeholder

Management &

- Solutioning :




- Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, product teams, and clients
- Understand business and client requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Design optimized, scalable, and cost-effective architectures based on use cases
- Participate in client discussions, technical reviews, and solution presentations

Required Technical Skills :

1. Backend :

- Strong expertise in Node.js (Express.js)
- Experience with MongoDB / SQL databases
- API design (REST, JWT authentication)

2. Frontend :

- Experience with React.js
- Experience with Mithril.js
- Robust understanding of SPA architecture

3. Infrastructure :

- Experience with AWS (EC2, IAM, CloudWatch)
- Docker & containerization
- Nginx / reverse proxy
- Messaging systems (Kafka / Redis queues)
- Strong understanding of networking and security components, including firewalls and network security rules, email gateways (e.g., spam filters, secure email gateways), and VPNs and secure remote access configurations.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience in cybersecurity products or LMS platforms
- Knowledge of email delivery systems (SMTP, SPF/DKIM)
- Exposure to AI/LLM or RAG-based systems
- Experience with on-prem enterprise deployments
- Familiarity with Golang and Python
