Drupal Developer

IIIDEM is seeking Drupal Developers to revamp the IIIDEM website and migrate the existing site to Drupal.

1. Essential Qualifications

• B. Tech in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline from a recognised institution.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in web development with Drupal 9/10, including at least one end-to-end Drupal website implementation.
- Proven experience in migrating websites to Drupal, including content, media, menus, users, and redirects.
- Knowledge and experience in coding websites using React.

1. Required Technical Skills • Strong Drupal site building skills: content types, taxonomies, views, blocks, menus, user roles, and permissions. • Drupal theme development and customization: i. ii. Experience modifying and creating themes using Twig, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. Ability to adapt and customize existing themes, including layout, templates, and styling to match institutional branding. • Drupal backend development: i. Custom module development, configuration of contributed modules, and integration with third-party systems/APIs. • Solid understanding of responsive web design, cross-browser compatibility, accessibility, and SEO-friendly front-end implementation.

3. Website Design Skills • Demonstrated ability to design or refine contemporary, responsive websites for academic/knowledge-based or government institutions, with emphasis on usability, clear information architecture, and professional visual design.



• Ability to work from ideas created by a designer team (Photoshop mockups).

1. Experience Requirements • Must have independently designed or significantly redesigned at least one institutional or organisational website (portfolio/URLs to be provided). 1 • Must have executed at least one Drupal migration covering: i. ii. iii. Content and media migration. URL structure and redirects. User roles/permissions and menu structure.
2. Roles and Responsibilities • Analyse the existing IIIDEM website and propose an information architecture and Drupal implementation plan. • Set up a new Drupal instance for IIIDEM, including necessary contributed modules and base themes.
- Design and implement the new Drupal-based IIIDEM website, including page templates, menus, views, and custom features as required.
- Execute content and data migration from the current CMS to Drupal, ensuring data integrity, clean URLs, redirects, and minimal downtime.
- Customize and/or develop Drupal themes to align with IIIDEM branding and design guidelines, including modification of Twig templates and CSS/JS.
- Ensure site performance, security hardening, backup strategy, and documentation of the Drupal setup.
- Provide handover, basic training, and documentation for IIIDEM staff for routine content management.

- Desirable • Experience with government/academic/UN or similar institutional websites. • Acquia Certified Drupal Developer • Knowledge and experience of Node JS
