About the Role

We are looking for an individual to support procurement, supplier development, vendor quality assurance, and incoming quality for Distribution Transformers (up to 3300 kVA), Power Distribution Units (PDUs), and associated electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities

- Source Distribution Transformers (11 kV / 22 kV / 33 kV), PDUs, HT/LT Panels, and associated electrical equipment from approved vendors.

- Identify, evaluate, and develop new suppliers for electrical components and engineered products.

- Prepare RFQs, obtain quotations, perform techno-commercial evaluations, and negotiate pricing and commercial terms.

- Ensure timely issuance of Purchase Orders and monitor supplier delivery schedules.

- Conduct supplier capability assessments and support vendor qualification activities.

- Coordinate Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Pre-Dispatch Inspections (PDI), and review quality documentation.

- Ensure supplied materials comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, and applicable standards.

- Manage supplier quality issues, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).

- Maintain supplier performance metrics related to quality, cost, and delivery.





- Coordinate with Stores for incoming material inspection and resolution of quality-related issues.

Preferred Experience

- 3-5 years of experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Supplier Quality, or Quality Assurance within the electrical equipment industry.

- B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

- Exp of getting UL certification.

- Experience with Distribution Transformers (up to 33 kV), Power Distribution Units (PDUs), HT/LT Panels, Switchgear, or related electrical products.

- Robust understanding of vendor development, supplier evaluation, and procurement processes.

- Knowledge of incoming inspection, supplier audits, FAT, PDI, and quality documentation.

- Familiarity with transformer components such as CRGO cores, windings, bushings, radiators, OLTC/NLTC, and electrical accessories.

- Working knowledge of IS/IEC standards applicable to transformers and electrical distribution equipment.

- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.) will be preferred.

- Strong analytical, negotiation, communication, and coordination skills.

- Exposure to data centre electrical infrastructure projects will be an added advantage.
