Role & responsibilities
- Analyze business and functional requirements and prepare comprehensive test plans and test cases.
- Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Validate PowerFactory models, simulations, and calculations.
- Test power system studies including:
- Load Flow Analysis
- Short Circuit Analysis
- Protection Coordination
- Harmonic Analysis
- Contingency Analysis
- Dynamic Stability Studies
- Verify data migration and system integrations between PowerFactory and external applications.
- Identify, log, track, and report defects using defect management tools.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and Subject Matter Experts to resolve issues.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and quality reviews.
- Prepare test summary reports and provide quality metrics.

Preferred candidate profile
- Strong experience in Manual and Functional Testing.
- Experience in Test Planning, Test Case Design, and Defect Management.
- Hands-on experience with:
- JIRA
- Azure DevOps
- HP ALM / Quality Center
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with API Testing and Integration Testing.
- Hands-on experience with DIgSILENT PowerFactory.
- Understanding of electrical power systems and network modelling.
- Experience validating
- Transmission Networks
- Distribution Networks
- Renewable Energy Systems
- Grid Interconnection Studies
- Knowledge of IEC, IEEE, and utility standards.
- Familiarity with SCADA, EMS, GIS, and utility applications.
- Exposure to Python scripting or automation testing is an advantage.
- DIgSILENT PowerFactory Certification preferred.
