Job Title: Diamond Procurement Executive

Department: Procurement / Supply Chain

Reporting To: Procurement Manager / Head – Procurement

Job Summary We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Diamond Procurement Executive to manage the sourcing and procurement of certified diamonds. The ideal candidate must be a graduate with IGI or GIA certification and possess hands-on experience in diamond buying, grading, pricing, and vendor management . The role requires strong market knowledge, negotiation skills, and the ability to procure high-quality diamonds at competitive prices while maintaining company quality standards.

Key Responsibilities Procurement & Sourcing

- Source and procure certified natural and/or lab-grown diamonds based on business requirements.
- Evaluate diamonds for quality, cut, color, clarity, carat weight, and pricing.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and purchase agreements with suppliers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with diamond manufacturers, wholesalers, and vendors.
- Identify new sourcing opportunities and reliable suppliers.

Diamond Evaluation
- Verify and assess diamonds using IGI/GIA grading standards.
- Ensure all purchased diamonds meet company quality specifications.
- Authenticate diamond certifications and maintain quality documentation.
- Stay updated on market trends, pricing fluctuations, and industry developments.

Vendor Management
- Build long-term relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable commercial terms.
- Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, pricing,



and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely procurement and deliveries.

Inventory & Documentation
- Coordinate with inventory and merchandising teams for stock planning.
- Maintain procurement records, purchase orders, invoices, and certification documents.
- Ensure accurate inventory reconciliation and stock reporting.
- Prepare procurement MIS and purchase reports.

Market Research
- Monitor domestic and international diamond markets.
- Analyze price trends and competitor sourcing strategies.
- Recommend cost-effective procurement strategies to management.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree (Graduate) is mandatory.
- IGI (International Gemological Institute) or GIA (Gemological Institute of America) certification is mandatory.
- 2–5 years of experience in diamond procurement, diamond buying, or diamond merchandising.
- Experience in sourcing certified natural and/or lab-grown diamonds is preferred.

Required Skills

- Robust knowledge of diamond grading (4Cs – Cut, Color, Clarity, and Carat).
- Hands-on experience in diamond buying and procurement.
- Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Strong understanding of diamond pricing and market trends.
- Good analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and inventory/ERP systems.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
