Job Summary The Design Manager is responsible for coordinating and managing all design-related activities for the project, ensuring that architectural, structural, and MEPF designs are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with project requirements, codes, and quality standards. The role involves close coordination with consultants, clients, contractors, and internal teams throughout all project stages.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and coordinate architectural, structural, and MEPF design activities.
- Review and monitor design deliverables, drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Ensure design compliance with project brief, statutory regulations, and client requirements.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, and site teams for design integration and issue resolution.
- Monitor design schedules and ensure timely submission of drawings and documents.
- Conduct design review meetings and track closure of comments and observations.
- Ensure interdisciplinary coordination between architecture, structure, faade, landscape, and MEPF services.
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical proposals.
- Identify design risks, clashes, and constructability issues during design development stages.
- Support project execution teams with technical clarifications and approvals.




- Maintain documentation and records of design revisions and approvals.
- Ensure value engineering and optimization opportunities are incorporated where applicable.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelors degree in Architecture / Civil Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum 0–10 years of experience in design coordination and project management.
- Experience in residential, commercial, mixed-use, hospitality, or infrastructure projects preferred.

Required Skills

- Strong understanding of architectural, structural, and MEPF systems.
- Knowledge of NBC, local authority regulations, and relevant codes/standards.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, MS Project, and BIM coordination tools.
- Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple consultants and fast-track project timelines.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

Preferred Competencies

- Experience in BIM-based project coordination.
- Knowledge of sustainable and green building practices.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to handle client presentations and technical discussions effectively.
