Design Head (Premium Interior Product Manufacturing)
We are looking for an experienced Design Head to lead the design and product development function for our premium interior product manufacturing business. The role involves driving product innovation, overseeing technical design, and ensuring seamless collaboration between design, production, procurement, sales, and project teams to deliver high-quality interior solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of premium interior products, including furniture, doors, wardrobes, paneling, and custom joinery.
- Create innovative, functional, and aesthetically superior product designs aligned with market trends.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, shop drawings, and production documentation.
- Coordinate with production teams to ensure design feasibility, quality, and cost optimization.
- Work closely with architects, interior designers, consultants, and clients to develop customized solutions.
- Drive current product development, material selection, prototyping, and value engineering.
- Standardize design processes, specifications, and technical documentation.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the design team while ensuring timely project delivery.
- Support business development with technical presentations and product specifications.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Furniture Design, Interior Design, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field with 6-8+ years of experience in premium interior product or furniture manufacturing.
Strong expertise in AutoCAD, technical detailing, manufacturing processes, material knowledge, product development, team leadership, and cross-functional coordination is essential.
Stable career with minimum 3-5 years in each recent organization.
Experience in premium interior product, furniture, modular, millwork, or architectural product manufacturing.
