Thermadyne is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The candidate will be responsible for creating design and drawings for air filtration systems, cleanroom equipment, and related components. The role also involves preparing fabrication drawings, nesting for laser cutting, and coordinating with production for smooth execution.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and develop detailed drawings for air filters, cleanroom equipment, and fabricated components.
- Prepare 2D and 3D models using design software.
- Generate assembly drawings and fabrication drawings for manufacturing.
- Perform nesting for laser cutting and bending operations to optimize material utilization.
- Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications and industry standards.
- Coordinate with production and quality teams to resolve design-related issues.
- Maintain proper documentation of drawings,
revisions, and design data.
- Support continuous improvement in design and manufacturing processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
• Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
- Working knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Basic understanding of fabrication processes like laser cutting, bending, and assembly.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Positive communication and teamwork abilities.
Educational Qualification:
- Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience:
• 0-5 years of relevant experience (Freshers with strong software skills can also apply).
Preferred Skills (Optional):
• Knowledge of HVAC or cleanroom systems.
- Exposure to sheet metal design.
- Understanding of BOM preparation and material planning.
