Job Title: Design Engineer I – Automotive Plastics (Siemens NX) Location: Pune (Onsite) Openings: 5 Experience: 3–7 years Notice Period: Immediate to 30 days About the Role: We are looking for skilled Design Engineers with strong expertise in Siemens NX to join our automotive plastics design team in Pune. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing plastic components/systems for automotive applications, from concept through production-ready design.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop automotive plastic components (interior/exterior trim, bumpers, brackets, housings, etc.) using Siemens NX
- Create 3D models, detailed drawings, and BOMs in compliance with automotive design standards
- Perform design validation considering DFM/DFA principles for plastic injection molding processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (tooling, manufacturing, quality, and testing) to ensure design feasibility
- Conduct tolerance stacking and GD&T; application for plastic parts
- Support prototype builds and design changes based on testing/validation feedback
- Ensure designs meet OEM specifications, safety standards,



and cost targets
- Maintain design documentation and revision control Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Automobile/Production Engineering or related field
- 3–7 years of experience in automotive plastic component design
- Proficiency in Siemens NX (mandatory)
- Strong understanding of plastic injection molding, material selection, and mold flow basics
- Knowledge of GD&T;, tolerance stack-up analysis
- Familiarity with automotive design standards (OEM-specific norms is a plus)
- Experience working with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, tooling, quality)
- Positive communication and documentation skills Preferred:
- Prior experience with interior/exterior automotive plastic parts (bumpers, dashboards, trims, etc.)
- Exposure to CAE/simulation tools is an added advantage
- Experience working with Tier 1 automotive suppliers or OEMs
- Notice Period: Immediate joiners to those serving a notice period up to 30 days will be preferred.
