Role Description The Design Engineer role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru.

The Design

Engineer will be responsible for developing and detailing mechanical and electro-mechanical components and assemblies, using CAD tools to create 3D models, drawings, and documentation that meet aerospace and defense standards. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements, performing design calculations, reviewing prototypes, and supporting validation, testing, and qualification activities. The role also involves optimizing existing designs for performance, manufacturability, and cost,



addressing design issues identified in production or testing, and ensuring compliance with relevant industry and customer specifications.

Qualifications

- Robust foundation in Design Engineering and Product Design, with experience translating requirements into robust, manufacturable solutions.
- Solid knowledge of Mechanical Engineering principles, including materials, strength of materials, tolerance analysis, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo) for 3D modeling and detailed engineering drawings.
- Understanding of Electrical Engineering concepts relevant to electro-mechanical systems, such as motors, actuators, and transformers.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related Engineering discipline; advanced degree is an advantage.
- Experience in aerospace or defense industry, or in high-reliability, safety-critical products, is highly beneficial.
- Ability to interpret international standards and customer specifications, and apply them to design and documentation.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and meet project timelines.
- Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
