Profile: Design and Development Engineer

Department: R&D;

Qualification: Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Experience: 1 - 3 years

Job Purpose To support the design, development, localization, testing, and launch of furniture fittings and storage solutions for the Indian market.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and modify products using CREO Parametric and AutoCAD.
- Prepare engineering drawings, product specifications, BOMs, and technical documentation.
- Coordinate with domestic and international suppliers for prototypes, samples, quotations, tooling, and product development.
- Conduct product testing, dimensional inspection, fitment, functionality, and quality evaluation.
- Evaluate competitor products and support product improvement and localization.




- Identify and develop suppliers and support cost reduction and vendor development.
- Coordinate with Sales, Purchase, Quality, Production, Warehouse, Marketing, and overseas suppliers.
- Support product costing, sample approvals, and product launches.
- Maintain project trackers and engineering records.
- Any other tasks assigned by the reporting manager
