You will shape and implement enterprise-wide learning and talent frameworks while ensuring they are customised to the realities of Animal Nutrition, Oil Palm, Crop Care, Dairy, Poultry and Processed Foods, and Astec LifeSciences. This role will require close partnership with the GAVL senior leadership team, the CEOs and business leaders of each business, and the HR leadership teams across the portfolio to build future-ready capabilities, strengthen succession pipelines, and enable long-term organisational growth.

Key responsibilities Learning program design & delivery

Design and develop comprehensive learning pathways aligned with career progression and competency development

Partner with business CEOs, senior leaders, HR heads, and subject matter experts across GAVL’s six businesses to design and validate learning programs

Oversee creation of blended learning programs combining instructor-led training, e-learning, workshops, and on-the-job learning

Build clear frameworks for measurement of ROI and business value creation from learning interventions.

Coordinate learning delivery across businesses, functions, plants, field teams, and corporate locations, ensuring scalability and relevance across the GAVL ecosystem

Talent identification & succession planning

Lead talent identification and assessment processes to identify high performers and high-potential employees





Develop and maintain succession plans for critical roles and future leadersCoordinate leadership development programs for emerging leaders and senior management

Create development plans for high-potential employees to prepare them for future roles

Partner with senior leadership, business CEOs, and HR leadership teams on talent pipeline, bench strength, and succession assessments for critical roles across businesses

Learning technology & analytics

Evaluate and implement learning management systems and digital learning platforms

Drive adoption of technology-enabled learning and virtual delivery methods

Establish learning metrics, KPIs, and ROI measurement frameworks

Generate learning analytics reports to track program effectiveness and participant progress

Use data to continuously improve learning program design and delivery

Organisational capability building

Assess organisational capability gaps and design targeted interventions

Drive skill development initiatives across critical functional and business areas, balancing enterprise priorities with business-specific capability needs

Lead change management and capability enablement during organisational transformations

Build internal training capability through development of trainer and facilitator programs

Create knowledge management and peer learning platforms Who are we looking for?

Education MBA – HR from a reputed institute

6+ years of experience post MBA Experience 3+ years of experience in learning and development, talent management, or organisational development

3+ years in a leadership role managing a team

Demonstrated experience in designing and scaling learning initiatives and career development pathways

Proven track record in talent identification, succession planning, and leadership development

Experience with learning management systems and digital learning platforms

Experience in multi-business, multi-location or large-scale organisations, preferably with exposure to manufacturing, field sales, agriculture, food, or allied sectors Skills Leadership: Strong leadership presence with ability to influence and engage stakeholders

Instructional design: Deep knowledge of learning design principles and program development

Change management: Ability to drive organisational change and build adoption

Think Scale: Ability to scalen initiatives across the org and make them self sustaining

Cost Consciousness:



Focus on cost & ROI and ability to build and scale solutions in-house

Analytical mindset: Strong data analysis skills and ability to measure effectiveness

Project management: Excellent planning and execution capabilities

Stakeholder management: Ability to build credibility with senior leadership, business CEOs, HR leadership teams, and diverse stakeholder groups across businesses
