Role & responsibilities

1. Daily Floor &
- Sales Management

- Target Achievement: Drive daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets for the assigned department/section.

- Floor Presence: Actively supervise the sales floor during peak hours to drive customer engagement and ensure rapid footfall conversion.

- Customer Service: Address and resolve customer complaints promptly on the floor to maintain high service standards.

1. Inventory &
- Visual Merchandising

- Stock Replenishment &
- Audit:

Monitor stock levels, track fast/slow-moving merchandise, and manage timely inward/outward inventory to minimize shrinkage.

- Visual Merchandising (VM): Ensure strict adherence to VM standards, proper display of products, price tagging, and cleanliness of the section.

1. Team Leadership &
- People Management

- Shift &
- Roster Planning:

Manage staff shifts, weekly-offs, and floor deployment to ensure optimum floor coverage during rush hours and festivals.

- Daily Huddles: Conduct morning briefings to communicate daily targets, promotional schemes, and focus items to sales staff.

- Training &

- Mentoring:





Train fresh and junior staff on product knowledge, upselling techniques, customer handling, and store discipline.

1. Operations &
- Billing

- Queue Management: Coordinate with the billing counters during peak hours to ensure quick checkout and avoid customer delay.

- SOP Compliance: Enforce store opening/closing procedures, hygiene guidelines, and loss-prevention measures.

Preferred candidate profile

- Experience: 3 to 7 years in retail store operations/floor management (Experience in Textiles, Apparel, Departmental, or Hypermarket stores preferred).

- Education: Graduate in any discipline / Diploma in Retail Management.

- Language Proficiency: Fluent Tamil (Mandatory) + Working knowledge of English.

- Key Traits: High energy, active floor presence, strong conflict-resolution skills, and the ability to lead a large team.

- Flexibility: Open to working retail store hours, weekends, and peak festival seasons.
