Role Title: Delivery Manager (Senior) Function: Customer Success / Delivery Reports To: VP – Customer Success / Delivery Head Seniority: Senior — 12+ years, with 5+ years managing large-scale IT project delivery Engagement Scale: Single large enterprise/BFSI account or a closely-related cluster Work Mode: Primarily on-premise at customer site, with travel as required Key Partners: Privacy Consultants, Solution Architects, SI partners, and customer/bank technical, security & compliance teams Role Summary: The Delivery Manager owns the successful, on-time, and compliant delivery of PrivaSapien's data-privacy platform into large, regulated enterprise environments. This is a senior, client-facing leadership role: the person is accountable for translating a signed scope into a structured delivery plan, mobilising the right mix of internal specialists and partner resources, and driving execution to completion in close coordination with the customer's own technology, security, and compliance teams. Beyond execution, the role carries a strong customer-leadership and advisory dimension.
The Delivery
Manager is the senior face of the engagement to customer leadership — presenting plans and progress at executive forums, giving regular structured updates, and advising customer stakeholders on how to operationalise their DPDP obligations through the platform and their rollout. Success depends on orchestrating Privacy Consultants, Solution Architects, integration and DevOps engineers, system-integrator partners, and customer-side teams towards a common plan, while holding overall accountability for timeline, quality, governance, and stakeholder confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivery Planning & Governance:
- Prepare a detailed, phase-wise delivery plan (deployment, roll-out, and support phases) with clear milestones, dependencies, entry/exit criteria, and resource loading.
- Establish realistic timelines with the customer and partners, surfacing dependency and sequencing risks early rather than allowing them to stall approvals mid-engagement.
- Enforce a disciplined change-control and freeze regime so that scope, environment, and configuration changes are managed deliberately and never introduced informally.
- Run governance cadence — steering reviews, status reporting, RAID (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies) logs, and decision tracking — appropriate to a large regulated account.
- Executive Communication & Customer Leadership:
- Build and deliver leadership-level presentations — delivery plans, milestone reviews, and go-live readiness — to customer CXO and senior stakeholders.
- Maintain a regular, structured update cadence with customer leadership, translating delivery detail into clear business-outcome language and calibrated messaging.
- Act as the senior, trusted face of the engagement — communicating insights, progress, and solutions with clarity, confidence, and executive presence, managing expectations, and sustaining leadership confidence throughout.
- Execution & Stakeholder Orchestration:
- Drive the day-to-day execution of the engagement, coordinating internal specialists (Privacy Consultants, Solution Architects, integration and DevOps engineers) and partner resources against the plan.
- Partner effectively with the customer's technology, information-security, and compliance/DPO teams — securing inputs, approvals, environments, and sign-offs at each gate.
- Manage the interface with system-integrator partners, holding them to agreed responsibilities, SLAs, and hand-over criteria.
- Partner across the customer's Legal, Compliance, and Risk functions and PrivaSapien's Product and Technology teams to embed a privacy-first approach in execution.
- Act as the single point of accountability for delivery status — escalating clearly, early, and with proposed options rather than surfacing problems late.
- Advisory & Solution Alignment:
- Advise customer stakeholders on how to operationalise their DPDP obligations through the platform and rollout — in partnership with Privacy Consultants, who own the deep legal and regulatory interpretation.
- Drive the delivery and configuration of client-specific customer journeys, coordinating consultants and engineers to translate customer requirements into working platform journeys.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of PrivaSapien's platform, products, architecture, deployment models, and roadmap — staying abreast of industry direction — to deliver and advise credibly.
- Serve as the DPO's single point of contact for the engagement — coordinating legal, compliance, and technical inputs from Privacy Consultants and the relevant teams, rather than personally owning legal interpretation.
- Work closely with Privacy Consultants and Solution Architects to ensure the deployed configuration reflects the customer's regulatory obligations and agreed purpose/consent design.
- Ensure that delivery decisions respect the boundary between what PrivaSapien configures and what the customer's own teams own (application ownership, legal content, and source-system integration).
- Quality, Hand-over & Value Realisation:
- Own quality gates — including readiness checks and smoke/handover testing — before each phase transition and before production go-live.
- Conduct UATs for all environments and track payment milestones.
- Lead structured knowledge transfer and hand-over to the customer and/or support teams, so the platform is sustainable beyond the initial engagement.
- Plan post-deployment transition (support, renewal, or team ramp-down) in line with the commercial arrangement, protecting both delivery continuity and margin.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Experience: 12+ years in IT / software / platform delivery, including hands-on delivery of at least one large-scale IT project implementation end-to-end.
- Domain: Proven ownership of multi-phase deployments in complex, regulated environments — BFSI, government, or large enterprise experience is strongly preferred.
- Delivery craft:
Demonstrated ability to build and drive delivery plans, manage critical-path dependencies, and hold timelines across internal teams, partners, and customer stakeholders.
- Executive communication: Excellent presentation and communication skills (verbal and written) — able to prepare and deliver leadership presentations and run regular executive updates with customer CXOs.
- Cloud / AWS: Working knowledge of cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS — deployment environments, common services, and how they shape enterprise rollout and integration.
- Privacy laws & certification: Solid working knowledge of India's DPDP Act and general data-protection principles (consent, purpose, data-principal rights) — sufficient to plan, advise, and converse credibly, with deep legal interpretation provided by Privacy Consultants. A recognised privacy certification (CIPP/E, CIPM, or DPDP certifications such as DCPLA / DCDPO) — held, actively in preparation, or to be obtained within three months of joining.
- Privacy programme depth: Hands-on exposure to privacy programmes — DPIAs, consent management, data-subject-rights handling, breach notification, and privacy-by-design.
- Sector: Experience delivering in the banking / BFSI sector (fintech an acceptable adjacent) — comfortable with the governance, security, and audit expectations of a regulated bank environment.
- Orchestration: Comfortable coordinating specialists and system-integrator partners without direct line authority — leadership by influence and structure.
- Governance: Strong grasp of delivery governance — RAID, change control, steering cadence, and evidence/audit discipline.
- Technical fluency: Enough technical grounding — APIs, AWS, and security basics including VAPT — to engage credibly with both internal and customer technology stakeholders. Broader understanding of enterprise deployment realities: environments, integration with source systems, identity/authentication, and go-live readiness.
Desirable
- Product-management experience — having owned a product or module to some degree (roadmap, requirements, and trade-off decisions), which strengthens solution advisory and customer conversations.
- Exposure to data-privacy, consent-management, or GRC platform implementations.
- Familiarity with working alongside large SI partners on regulated-sector programmes.
- PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent delivery/PM certification; Agile/hybrid delivery experience.
- AWS or cloud certification;
experience standing up governance for a new or evolving product where playbooks are still maturing. PrivaSapien Technologies — Confidential. This description outlines the principal expectations of the role and is not an exhaustive list of duties.
