About Neovara :

Neovara is the AI & data consultancy for F&B; and hospitality. We help teams adopt AI that earns its keep, turn messy data into a single source of truth they can trust, and build the dashboards, pipelines and AI agents they run on.

We were proven inside a real business. We took Cru Wine - a fine wine operation that was loss-making and admin-heavy - and turned it lean, data-driven and record-profit, with back-office costs down around 60%. Cru Wine is our flagship case study and live proving ground : we build it there first, then roll it out to clients.

We are now building the delivery engine that turns that into a product for every client we take on. Bangalore is where that engine gets built - and you are the first person in it.

The role :

This is Neovara's first hire in Bangalore and the second person on the technical team. You will work directly alongside our Founding Engineer, building the AI agents, automations and data workflows that Neovara delivers to clients - and that we run our own business on.

The work is real from day one. Not tickets from a backlog, not a training programme. You will be handed a problem - a manual process that eats someone's week, a report that takes three days to produce, a mess of data that nobody trusts - and you will build the thing that fixes it. Then we ship it, watch it run, and improve it.

This is a founding role, at the start of a company, with the equity to match. We are not looking for someone to train from zero - we are looking for someone one to three years in who has already built things with AI and wants a seat where that work matters. The person who does this well becomes the technical lead of the Bangalore team as it grows around them.

What you'll own - AI agents & automation :

The core of the job. You will spend most of your week here :

- Build AI agents that do real work - agents that read, classify, extract, summarise, draft and act. The difference between AI theatre and AI that actually removes work from someone's desk.
- Automate manual processes end to end - find the repetitive human steps in a workflow, replace them with something that runs on its own, and prove the hours saved.
- Work hands-on with LLMs - prompt design, tool use, structured outputs, evaluation, and the unglamorous work of making a model behave reliably on messy real-world input.
- Wire systems together - APIs, webhooks, scheduled jobs and integrations across the platforms our clients actually use (HubSpot, cloud storage, finance and inventory systems, internal databases).
- Ship it and own it - deploy, monitor, fix what breaks. You own your work after it goes live, not just until it merges.

Working with data - the foundation :

None of the AI work stands up without clean data underneath it. You'll also :

- Clean and structure messy data - the duplicates, the free-text fields, the seven spellings of the same customer name. This is the groundwork that makes everything else possible.




- Build and maintain pipelines - move data reliably from source systems into somewhere it can be trusted, on a schedule, without someone babysitting it.
- Write solid SQL - query, transform and validate. You should be comfortable in a database, not scared of one.
- Support reporting and dashboards - feed the live intel we deliver to clients through the Neovara app and Power BI.

Inside Cru Wine - the proving ground :

Build here first. Cru Wine is a live business we know inside out. Current agents and automations get built and tested against it before they go to a client.

See the whole business. Sales, buying, logistics, finance, CRM - you will get exposure to how a real company actually runs, which is what makes the difference between a competent engineer and a useful one.

The path from here :

You join as the first engineer in Bangalore, working directly under the Founding Engineer. As Neovara scales, Bangalore becomes a full delivery team - and you are the person who was there first, who knows how everything was built, and who is best placed to lead it. Founding members grow with the company. This is a ground-floor opportunity to shape a team, not a job slotting into someone else's structure.

What we're looking for :

- Roughly one to three years in - but we care far less about the number than about what you have actually shipped. If you have built real things with AI, come and talk to us.
- You have shipped real things. Automations, agents, internal tools, side projects that people actually use - evidence that you build working software, not just study it. Show us what you have put into the world.
- Strong Python. You write clean, working code and can read and extend someone else's. Comfortable with Git and working in a shared codebase.
- Working SQL. You can query, join, aggregate and reason about data in a relational database.
- Real hands-on AI work. You have built with LLM APIs on actual problems - prompt design, structured outputs, tool use, RAG, or agentic workflows. Not a course certificate; something that ran. Experience with Claude and Claude Code is a strong plus.
- You work things out. When you hit something you have not seen before, you read the docs, try it, and get to an answer. You ask good questions rather than waiting to be told.
- Clear communication in English. You will work daily with a Dubai-based team. You need to explain what you built, what broke, and what you need - in writing, clearly.
- You want to go deep. This is a role for someone who intends to become excellent at AI engineering, and who will take the ownership that comes with a founding seat rather than waiting to be handed tickets.

Useful, not essential :

- Cloud experience - AWS (Lambda, S3), or equivalent on another provider.
- Power BI, or any BI or dashboarding tool.
- React or front-end experience - enough to build a simple internal interface.
- Experience with HubSpot, or any CRM or ERP data.
- A degree in computer science, engineering,



mathematics or a related field - helpful, but what you have built matters more.

The founding offer :

- A genuine founding seat. You are the first hire on the Bangalore tech team and the second engineer in the company. What you build becomes the standard everyone after you works to.
- Salary : 17.4 lakh per annum. Approximately USD 1,500 per month, paid monthly in USD and reviewed annually. Because the role is paid from our Dubai entity, the INR figure will move with the exchange rate.
- Equity in Neovara. A conditional option over 0.05% of the Company's issued share capital as at the date of grant, on the Company's standard founding-team terms - vesting in three tranches : one-third at 18 months of continuous service, one-third at 36 months, and the final third at 48 months. The option shares are non-voting and carry no dividend rights, but participate in any return of capital on a sale or listing. Full terms are set out in the Equity Option Letter Agreement issued on joining.
- Direct access to the people building the company. You report to the Founding Engineer and work with the Founder & CEO regularly. Small company, no layers, no waiting for permission.
- Performance bonus. Discretionary bonus of up to two months' salary on achievement of annual Company targets, effective from 1 January 2027 where targets are set for 2027.
- A real path. From first engineer in Bangalore to technical lead of the Bangalore team as it grows - earned through the work, but real and on the table from day one.

How you'll be engaged :

This is a full-time role with Neovara. On joining you will be engaged as a full-time contractor to Neovara L.L.C., FZ (Dubai), which is the fastest route to getting you started. Neovara is in the process of establishing an Indian entity to employ its India-based team directly; once that entity is in place, you will transfer onto a full employment contract with it, with continuous service recognised from your original start date.

Your equity option is granted on joining and is unaffected by that transfer.

Working arrangements :

- Based in Bangalore, India. Founding member of Neovara's Bangalore technical team.
- Standard working hours are 9 : 00am to 6 : 00pm IST, Monday to Friday, with a working overlap maintained with the Dubai and London teams.
- 24 days' paid leave per year - 18 days' earned leave, accruing monthly from your start date, plus 6 days' casual/sick leave.
- 12 recognised public holidays per year, including the three national holidays (Republic Day, Labour Day, Independence Day) and a Company-published list of Karnataka festival holidays.
- Company-provided laptop and the tooling you need, including AI tools and API access.
- A learning budget and dedicated time for building - we would rather you got sharper on our watch than on your own.
- Direct mentoring from the Founding Engineer and exposure to the CEO, with a clear path to grow as the company scales.
