Role Description The Criminal Litigation Intern will support the firm’s litigation team with legal research, drafting, and case preparation for criminal matters, including NDPS, POCSO, and homicide-related trials. Day-to-day responsibilities include researching case law and statutes, preparing case briefs and summaries, assisting in drafting petitions, complaints, written arguments, and witness examinations, and organizing case files and evidentiary materials.

The intern may observe client conferences, court hearings, and trial proceedings, and assist with note-taking and follow-up tasks. This is an internship role, based on-site at the firm’s office in Saraswati Vihar,



providing a hands-on, court-facing learning experience under the supervision of experienced criminal litigators.

Qualifications

- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a law program, with coursework or demonstrated interest in criminal law.
- Strong legal research and analytical skills, including familiarity with legal databases and case law research methods.
- Effective legal writing and drafting abilities, with attention to clarity, structure, and persuasive argumentation.
- Solid organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple matters, documents, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Professional communication skills for interacting with team members, clients (under supervision), and court personnel.
- Ability to work on-site in Saraswati Vihar, maintain confidentiality, and demonstrate integrity in handling sensitive information.
- Demonstrated interest in trial advocacy, criminal procedure, and courtroom practice; prior moot court or litigation internships are an advantage.
- Comfort with using common office software and document management tools for drafting, formatting, and organizing case materials.
