Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs) :

Responsible for the general well-being and satisfaction of seafarers related to the vessels allocated.

To ensure that the vessels allocated are suitable manned with qualified and competent crew all the time, in compliance with Flag, Client and Shipworkz rules, regulations, and project specific requirements.

To work closely with operations & technical teams to ensure that selected seafarers are capable of operating and maintaining the vessel effectively and efficiently to ensure asset integrity and to minimize downtime.

To interview Ratings and obtain Crewing Managers approval for mobilization. To interview and screen junior Officers and submit accepted candidates to TSI/OSI for final round of interview.

To review Document and CV Packages compiled by Documentation team and ensure 100% accuracy and completeness.

To issue contracts with 100% accuracy and completeness and to upload them into MariApps immediately.

To oversee and manage flight ticket bookings, hotel bookings, Letters of invitation, client-required trainings, visas, etc., as required, with maximum efficiency and minimum cost.

To ensure all seafarers are relieved on time as per their contracts and the Crew Planner. To keep the Vessel, the Client, the Vessel Team and the relevant Agent informed of crew changes.

To ensure that all seafarers sign on/off are immediately recorded in

MariApps. To ensure timely response to e-mails from the Vessel in regard to relief and welfare requests (within 24 hours).

To ensure that all seafarer documents (certificates, visas, etc.)



are valid and up to date whilst they are on board. To ensure that the weekly

Competency Matrix is received, reviewed and acted on asap.

To keep in touch with seafarers on leave and ensure they are updated well in advance about their next deployment.

To follow up on handing over and taking over reports for senior officers.

To follow up and ensure that all Performance Appraisals are carried out in a timely manner and uploaded into MariApps.

To develop and maintain a high-quality seafarer pool through careful selection, development and performance screening.

To manage crew payroll and ensure crew wage scales are within agreed Shipworkz limits. To ensure that crewing budget (for allocated vessels) is strictly met. To monitor variances and report the same promptly for internal action.

To contribute towards continuous improvement of crewing process.

To ensure compliance with ISM and ISO processes of Shipworkz. To ensure that internal and external audits are passed without deviations or non-compliances.

To work closely with finance department to check agency invoices,

disbursements, incorrect billings, etc., and report any deviations.
