About Nakama Growth
Nakama is an AI visibility agency. We help SaaS and software brands get cited inside ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI when buyers search for solutions in their category. We work across YouTube, Reddit, LinkedIn, independent editorial websites, and other platforms that AI models treat as trusted sources. We're a small, fast-moving team working with real clients across the US and India, and everything we build is tied directly to measurable outcomes in AI search.
What You'll Be Working On
This is not a social media intern role. You'll be working directly on client deliverables and internal projects that ship to the real world. Specifically:
- Researching and writing structured, answer-first content for independent editorial websites we build for clients (comparison articles, alternatives listicles, buyer guides)
- Assisting with on-page SEO: title tags, meta descriptions, heading structure, internal linking, schema markup
- Supporting link building efforts: identifying prospects, drafting outreach, managing responses
- Helping with GEO/AEO content strategy: understanding how LLMs extract and cite content, and structuring writing around that
- Assisting with YouTube content: scripting support, writing descriptions and timestamps, optimizing transcripts around real query shapes
- Publishing and managing content across platforms including Reddit, LinkedIn, Medium, Quora, and Substack
- Tracking citation performance across AI platforms (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Google AI Overview,
Google AI Mode)
- Supporting keyword and query research: mapping how AI tools break queries into sub-questions and what content we need to answer them
Who We're Looking For
- Someone genuinely curious about AI search, GEO/AEO, and where content is heading, not just traditional SEO
- Solid written English, clear and direct, able to write in a natural, non-AI-sounding voice
- Basic understanding of SEO fundamentals (on-page, keyword research, link building) is a plus but not required if you're willing to learn fast
- Comfortable working independently, asking good questions, and flagging problems early rather than disappearing
- Familiar with tools like Google Search Console, Ahrefs or SEMrush (even basic familiarity counts), Google Docs, and general research skills
- No prior experience required, the right attitude and genuine curiosity matter more than a resume
What You'll Learn Most interns learn traditional SEO. Here you'll learn how AI models actually decide what to cite, how to build content that shows up inside AI answers rather than just on Google, how to build and grow independent editorial properties, and how a real client delivery workflow operates at a small agency. This is genuinely rare knowledge to have in 2026 and the people who understand it are in very short supply.
How to Apply
Send a short note (not a long cover letter) to
[email protected] &
[email protected] explaining: what you're currently doing, why this role interests you, and one piece of content you've written or one website/article you think is well-structured for search and why. Keep it under 200 words.
