Role Description The Collections Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in New Delhi, responsible for overseeing the end-to-end collections process for assigned portfolios. This role involves monitoring overdue accounts, developing and implementing collection strategies, and ensuring timely recovery while maintaining a customer-centric and compliant approach.

The Collections

Manager will lead and guide collection teams, review performance metrics, and optimize processes to improve efficiency and reduce delinquencies. The role includes coordinating with internal stakeholders such as credit, operations, and legal teams,



preparing regular reports and analysis for management, and ensuring adherence to regulatory and organizational policies.

Manager is expected to handle escalations professionally, support continuous improvement initiatives, and uphold the organization’s standards of ethical and responsible collections.

Qualifications

- Solid collections management experience, including portfolio monitoring, recovery strategies, and delinquency control in retail or MSME lending.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to interpret MIS, track KPIs, and use digital tools or collection systems to drive decisions.
- Team leadership and people management skills, including coaching, performance review, and the ability to motivate and manage on-ground collection teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills to manage customer interactions, handle escalations, and maintain positive relationships.
- Solid understanding of NBFC operations, credit and risk principles, and regulatory and compliance requirements related to collections.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification or professional certification in finance or risk is an advantage.
- Prior experience in collections roles within financial services, particularly housing finance or MSME lending, is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in New Delhi, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
