Role Description The Cloud Engineer will design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure to support PPStack’s learning platforms and digital services. Day-to-day responsibilities include deploying and managing cloud resources, automating infrastructure provisioning, monitoring system performance, and ensuring high availability and resilience of applications.

The role involves collaborating with software developers, data teams, and product stakeholders to optimize application architectures for the cloud, implement CI/CD pipelines, and improve cost efficiency and security posture.

Engineer will also troubleshoot incidents, perform root cause analysis, and contribute to documentation and best practices.



This is a full-time remote role.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Cloud Computing skills, including experience with major cloud providers (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and core services such as compute, storage, networking, and security.
- Candidates should possess Infrastructure skills, including infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), configuration management, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and monitoring/logging tools.
- Candidates should possess Software Development skills, including proficiency in one or more programming or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Go, Java, Bash) and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control (Git).
- Candidates should possess Linux skills, including administration, shell scripting, performance tuning, and secure system configuration in production environments.
- Candidates should possess Databases skills, including working with relational and/or NoSQL databases, managing backups and scaling, and optimizing performance in cloud-native architectures.
- Relevant skills and qualifications include experience with security best practices, networking fundamentals, and distributed systems; a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience); robust problem-solving abilities; and the capacity to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment.
