Cloud Engineer (GCP/AWS)

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled Cloud Engineer to manage and support cloud infrastructure for our digital payments platform, including PPI Wallet, UPI, Payment
Aggregator (PA), RuPay Card Management, Merchant Onboarding, and Financial
Services applications.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with cloud platforms (preferably GCP and
AWS), Linux administration, networking, monitoring, and automation. Experience in Fintech,
Banking, Payments, or regulated environments will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud Infrastructure Management
- Manage and maintain cloud environments across Production, DR, UAT, and
Development.
- Support deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of applications hosted on GCP and
AWS.
- Provision and manage cloud resources including Compute Engines, Kubernetes clusters,
Load Balancers, Storage, and Databases.
- Monitor infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity utilization.
System Administration
- Administer Linux and Windows servers.
- Perform server hardening, patch management, and security updates.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, network, and application-level issues.
- Manage SSL certificates, DNS, and domain configurations.
Monitoring & Incident Management
- Monitor systems using tools such as Zabbix, Grafana, Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, or equivalent.
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis.
- Ensure timely resolution of infrastructure-related issues.
- Support production deployments and change management activities.
Security & Compliance
- Implement cloud security best practices.
- Manage IAM roles, access controls, and privileged access.
- Assist in vulnerability remediation and security compliance activities.
- Support audit requirements related to RBI, NPCI, PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, and CERT-In guidelines.
Backup & Disaster Recovery
- Monitor backups and recovery processes.
- Support Disaster Recovery drills and failover testing.
- Ensure business continuity readiness of critical systems.
Automation & DevOps
- Assist in automating infrastructure provisioning and operational tasks.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
- Work with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with cloud service providers and third-party vendors.
- Work closely with Development, Security, Product, and Operations teams.
