About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and customer-focused Executive – Travel Claims to join our Operations team. The role involves end-to-end processing of travel insurance claims, ensuring compliance with policy guidelines, service level agreements (SLAs), and turnaround time (TAT) commitments while delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand travel insurance policy terms and conditions across multiple insurers.
- Register and process travel insurance claims accurately in the claims management system.
- Verify claim documents and assess claims as per policy guidelines.
- Maintain accurate and error-free claim records and data.
- Adhere to client-specific SOPs, SLAs, and TAT requirements.
- Follow up with insured customers for pending documents and claim deficiencies.
- Obtain necessary approvals from clients as per defined processes.
- Respond promptly to queries from clients, branch offices, and insured customers.
- Prepare and share weekly, fortnightly, and monthly MIS reports.
- Monitor reimbursement float accounts to ensure timely settlement of approved claims.
- Ensure compliance with internal quality and service standards.
- Support the team with additional operational responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills
- Experience in Travel Insurance Claims Processing.
- Strong understanding of insurance claim settlement procedures.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Good verbal and written communication.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Typing speed of 35 WPM or above with good data entry skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team workplace.
- Willingness to learn and use proprietary claims management software.
Eligibility
- Graduate in any discipline.
- 2–7 years of experience in travel insurance claims processing.
- Experience with insurers, TPAs, assistance companies, or insurance operations will be preferred.
