Our clients include several of the largest oil & gas producers in Canada and worldwide, and we are currently executing a wide range of sweet gas, sour gas, conventional oil, heavy oil facility and pipeline projects.

Job Summary:

The Civil Structural Designer provides civil and structural design and drafting support for oil & gas EPCM projects. The role involves preparing high-quality 2D drawings and 3D models for industrial steel structures and associated facilities, collaborating with international teams, ensuring QA/QC compliance, independently handling assigned deliverables, while delivering work efficiently in a deadline-driven setting.

Key Responsibilities

- Independently prepare and check high-quality design drawings.
- Coordinate with engineers, modelers, and cross-disciplinary teams to resolve design issues.
- Prepare 3D model and produce drawings for the various industrial steel structures.
- Types of drawings include GA’s, Pipe supports layout, Piling layouts, Platforms, Cross overs, Staircases, Ladder, Railing, Gratings etc. and As-Builts.




- Prepare typical drawing and bill of materials.
- Effectively communicate the status of tasks, design changes and continuous improvement items to the rest of the team.
- Maintain proficiency with the most up to date drafting software.
- QAQC checking.
- Mentoring and training other members of the team.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

- Good English communication and understanding ability – directly communicate with Canadian /Australian counterparts.
- Shall be self-driven, with minimum supervision.
- Proficient with AutoCAD
- Working knowledge of 3D modelling using Bently AutoPlant/CadWorx/Advance Steel
- Fundamental computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
- Solid understanding of the oil and gas industry with EPCM design experience
- Highly motivated team player with excellent communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.

Educational Qualification:

- ITI / Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Post secondary education such as Engineering Design and Drafting.
- Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience, preferably in an EPCM oil & gas environment.
