Position Summary:

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be responsible for driving the overall operational performance and profitability of Sparsh Liaison Services LLP. The primary objective of this role is to ensure that every project is executed efficiently, delivered on time, and achieves targeted profit margins while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and client satisfaction.

The COO will oversee all operational functions, establish robust financial discipline across projects, optimize resource utilization, and implement systems and processes that support sustainable business growth. Working closely with the Partners and functional leaders, the COO will be accountable for ensuring a healthy Profit & Loss (P&L;) by improving operational efficiency, controlling costs, increasing productivity, and enhancing commercial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Profitability & P&L; Management

- Own the operational P&L; and drive sustainable profitability across all business verticals.
- Ensure every project meets or exceeds predefined gross margin and profitability targets.
- Monitor project budgets, costs, resource allocation, and financial performance on a regular basis.
- Identify revenue leakage, cost overruns, and operational inefficiencies, and implement corrective measures.
- Develop profitability dashboards and MIS reports for leadership review.
- Improve billing accuracy, collections, and cash flow through operational controls.

Operations Management

- Lead day-to-day operations across all locations and service lines.
- Ensure seamless execution of licensing and liaison projects within committed timelines.
- Improve operational efficiency through standardized processes and SOPs.
- Monitor project execution to ensure quality, compliance, and client satisfaction.
- Build scalable systems to support business growth.

Commercial & Resource Management

- Optimize manpower deployment to maximize productivity and profitability.
- Review pricing, resource allocation, and execution strategies to improve margins.




- Work closely with Business Development during project planning to ensure commercial viability before project acceptance.
- Continuously evaluate operational costs and recommend efficiency improvements.

Process Excellence

- Implement operational KPIs and performance dashboards.
- Drive automation and digitization of operational workflows.
- Standardize documentation and reporting across all teams.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Leadership & Team Management

- Lead and mentor regional operations teams and department heads.
- Establish transparent performance goals linked to profitability, efficiency, and service quality.
- Build accountability and ownership across the organization.
- Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing operational talent.

Compliance & Risk Management

- Ensure adherence to all statutory, regulatory, and client compliance requirements.
- Minimize operational and financial risks through robust governance and internal controls.
- Resolve critical operational issues and client escalations promptly.

Ideal Candidate:

- 12-18 years of leadership experience in operations, business management, or general management.
- Strong financial acumen with demonstrated experience managing P&L.;
- Proven ability to improve profitability through operational excellence.
- Experience leading multi-location teams and managing complex projects.
- Excellent analytical, commercial, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Experience in professional services, consulting, infrastructure, event management, hospitality, or regulatory/compliance-driven businesses will be an advantage.
