Role Charging supervisors are responsible for a wide range of tasks They monitor and maintain heat-treating equipment They supervise preventative maintenance and routine cleaning They also monitor equipment operation to ensure quality products and detect deviations from standards In addition they calculate raw material additions to the furnace and record production data including consumption of raw materials and quality control measures Responsibilities Lead and coordinate team in all aspects of operation in a cupola furnace Operate all furnaces ensure correct procedures and specifications are followed Quality check all furnace cycles Log any malfunctions with the maintenance department Maintain safety measures and PPE Execute daily operations of ISO s customer requirements forms Perform all functions of the job using proper PPE Use math skills to determine next amount to be added Lead in furnace room that are responsible for carrying melt to machines Function as a viable member of the furnace team Responsible for accurate reporting of production and scrap data Work on tasks outside of the as directed by Management and or Lead Operators for training emergency relief purposes production needs or continuous improvements Monitor Cupola furnace operation according to established standards Monitor the operation of furnace and notify the Maintenance Supervisor or Lead when problems are detected Follow all company and OSHA require safety policies and procedures Monitor material quality and adjust bakeoven settings in conjunction with the shift Incharge Must notify Supervisor immediately of any deviations from normal operations Working knowledge and understanding of one or more of the processes within the department Requirements Assist Shift In-charge in managing production schedule and take ownership of a work zone Completes Inspection and In process paperwork as required Perform and Document Preventive Maintenance on Equipment Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies Good problem-solving skills Must be able to stand for long hours during the shift Qualifications and skills High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 3 years of experience in the relevant field Experience with cupola furnaces in a production setting Understanding of safety procedures and protocols Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects The ability to work well with others Attention to detail Additional vocational trade school education preferred Team player - steps in to assist when and where as needed Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 7 000 00 - 8 000 00 per month Benefits Health insurance Paid sick time Work Location In person
