Design 2D & 3D CAD models of lithium-ion battery packs and mechanical components using SolidWorks.
- Prepare detailed manufacturing drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and maintain drawing revisions.
- Design battery enclosures, busbars, brackets, fixtures, and assemblies with DFM principles.
- Coordinate with production and R&D; teams to implement design improvements.
- Manage vendors for fabrication, sheet metal, CNC machining, laser cutting, and prototype development.
- Ensure drawings and manufactured parts meet quality and dimensional requirements.
Requirements
Diploma/BE/BTech in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in SolidWorks.
- Strong knowledge of 2D drafting, 3D modelling, BOM preparation, and manufacturing drawings.
- Experience in vendor management and prototype development.
- Experience in EV, battery packs, or automotive products is preferred.
