Company Description Vikalp Sansthan is a youth-led organization founded in 2004 with a commitment to ending gender-based violence and discrimination in Rajasthan. Guided by a vision of an egalitarian, violence-free society based on equity, peace, and justice, the organization promotes physical and mental freedom, equal access to resources and opportunities, and freedom from all forms of discrimination. Vikalp works within democratic systems to address the root causes of gender inequality, focusing on girls, boys, and young people as key agents of change.
Over the years, it has expanded operations to twelve districts and 510 villages in south and western Rajasthan, contributing to reductions in child marriage, increased access to higher education for girls, and support for survivors of domestic violence. The organization values integrity, accountability, and perseverance in articulating and advancing the aspirations of youth.
Role Description The Block Coordinator is a full-time, on-site role based in Udaipur, responsible for coordinating Vikalp Sansthan’s programs and activities at the block level. This role involves planning and implementing gender equality and youth empowerment initiatives, supporting community outreach, and facilitating sessions with adolescents, youth groups, and local stakeholders.

Coordinator will maintain regular communication with village volunteers, monitor project progress, collect field data, and prepare concise reports for the program team. The role includes organizing meetings, trainings, and awareness campaigns,
liaising with local government bodies and community leaders, and ensuring that interventions align with Vikalp’s mission and compliance standards.

Coordinator will collaborate closely with colleagues to identify challenges, propose practical solutions, and strengthen the impact and sustainability of ongoing projects.
Qualifications Strong community engagement and facilitation skills, including the ability to mobilize youth, conduct group meetings, and build trust with diverse community members.
Program coordination and planning abilities, such as organizing activities, managing timelines, and ensuring effective implementation at block and village levels.
Monitoring, reporting, and basic documentation skills, including data collection from the field, maintaining records, and preparing explicit progress reports.
Knowledge and understanding of gender equality, child rights, and social justice issues, with a commitment to ending gender-based violence and discrimination.
Effective verbal and written communication skills in relevant local languages and in English or Hindi, with the ability to communicate clearly with stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and in teams, demonstrate integrity and accountability, and travel regularly within blocks and nearby villages.
Prior experience in social sector work, especially with youth or gender-focused organizations, is highly beneficial.
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in social work, social sciences, development studies, or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant
