- Strong knowledge BIW Closures parts design using CATIA V5.

- Strong knowledge of BIW design and development of body closures from concept to production stage.

- Able to develop master sections and feasible study.

- Door opening / articulation study, Door hinge Axis layout, Door components packaging study.

- Basic knowledge in door / closures assembly kinematics.

- Ability to work with styling teams to convert design concepts into manufacturable parts.

- Good understanding of sheet metal parts material, manufacturing process, assembly, crashworthiness.

- Positive knowledge in GD&T;, sheet metal tolerance, DFM & DFA.

- Optimize the designs for weight reduction, cost efficiency and manufacturing without compromising the performance.

- Provide design solutions based on CAE feedback.

- Liaison with supplier teams for validation and release.

- Experience in benchmarking, packaging studies, and defining optimal design solutions.

- Strong problem-solving, project management & communication skills.

BIW Structure

- Strong knowledge of experience in Automotive BIW Design using CATIA V5.





- Strong knowledge of BIW design and development of body structure from concept to production stage.

- Able to develop master sections and feasible study.

- Ability to work with styling teams to convert design concepts into manufacturable parts.

- Good understanding of sheet metal parts material, manufacturing process, assembly, crashworthiness.

- Good knowledge in GD&T;, sheet metal tolerance, DFM & DFA.

- Optimize the designs for weight reduction, cost efficiency and manufacturing without compromising the performance.

- Provide design solutions based on CAE feedback.

- Ability to take independent technical decisions based on engineering requirement.

- Liaison with supplier teams for validation and release.

- Experience in benchmarking, packaging studies, and defining optimal design solutions.

- Strong problem-solving, project management & communication skills .
