Job Title: Beach Marshal

Role & responsibilities :

Location: Goa (Various Beaches)

Reporting To: Beach Marshal Supervisor / Operations Manager

Job Overview

The Beach Marshal plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety, security, and regulatory compliance of beachgoers, vendors, and operators across designated beaches. The Marshal will be responsible for monitoring beach activities, preventing illegal or unauthorized conduct, guiding visitors on beach regulations, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable beach experience for all.

Key Responsibilities

- Monitor the beach for any illegal, unauthorized, or prohibited activities.
- Enforce beach safety regulations and ensure public compliance with posted signage and instructions.
- Approach and warn violators engaging in restricted or dangerous behavior, and issue penalties/fines where applicable.
- Maintain a visible presence to deter unlawful activities and reassure beachgoers.
- Educate tourists and visitors on beach safety norms, dos and donts, and environmental preservation.
- Assist in crowd management during peak hours, festivals, and events.
- Identify unclean or littered zones and highlight them for immediate action and escalate persistent cleaning lapses to higher authorities
- Report and respond to incidents involving injured, stranded, or at-risk marine species
- Monitor and report any suspicious or illegal access from the sea, including unpermitted vessel landings.
- Assist in LG ops for ops and admin work.
- Patrol allotted beach by conducting foot patrols and driving ATVs,Jeeps and e-cycles.





Offences to Monitor & Penalize:
1. Unauthorized hawkers selling jewelry, toys, electronics, etc.
2. Ice cream kiosks, sugarcane juice stalls, maize/coconut/cut fruit sellers operating without licenses.
3. Dhol/drum hawkers and other noise disturbances.
4. Menace caused by Hawkers (unauthorized masseurs, vendors).
5. Drug and prostitution touts.
6. Alcohol consumption on the beach.
7. Driving of bikes, cars, or any unauthorized vehicles on the beach.
8. Unauthorized water sports/boat ride touts or agents.
9. Disregard for safety signageclimbing slippery rocks, taking selfies in dangerous areas, etc.
10. Nudity or indecent exposure by tourists.
11. Sale of laser lights and similar unauthorized items.
12. Smoking in public or designated no-smoking areas.
13. Breaking glass bottles or any form of vandalism.
14. Littering or improper disposal of waste.
15. Unauthorized photography services on the beach.
16. Use of drones without proper clearance or licenses.

Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum Qualification: 8th Pass or above
- Prior experience in security, public safety, or enforcement roles preferred
- Physically fit and able to patrol beach areas for extended periods
- Positive written and verbal communication skills in English, Hindi,



and local languages (Konkani preferred)
- Confident, firm, yet polite demeanor when dealing with the public
- Ability to handle conflict, remain calm under pressure, and de-escalate tense situations
- Willing to work in shifts, weekends, and public holidays
- Must possess an LMV licence for driving jeeps/4WS.

- Soft Skills and pleasing guest friendly personality but firm nature towards illegal activities.

Preferred candidate profile

- Freshers & experienced candidates are welcome.
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in security, public safety, law enforcement, hospitality, customer service, or lifeguarding.
- Must be physically fit and willing to work in shifts.
- Valid LMV driving licence of Four wheeler Mandotary. (Including Know To Drive Four Wheeler )
- Candidates willing to relocate to Goa will be preferred.
