We are looking for an Ellucian Banner Functional Consultant with hands-on experience in supporting and implementing Ellucian Banner ERP solutions for higher education institutions.

The candidate will work closely with business users, functional teams, technical consultants, and university stakeholders to understand business requirements, analyze existing processes, configure Banner functionality, support testing activities, and assist with production issues.

Key Responsibilities Gather and analyze business and functional requirements from university stakeholders.

Understand existing higher education processes and map them to Ellucian Banner functionality.

Support the configuration and implementation of relevant Banner modules.

Prepare functional requirement documents, process flows, test scenarios, and user documentation.

Coordinate with technical and integration teams for customizations, reports, interfaces, and data-related requirements.

Perform functional testing and support user acceptance testing.

Investigate and resolve functional issues reported by end users.

Support Banner upgrades, enhancements, patches, and production deployments.

Conduct demonstrations, knowledge-transfer sessions, and end-user training.

Maintain functional documentation and implementation records.

Required Skills and Experience





2–3 years of relevant experience working with Ellucian Banner ERP.

Functional experience in one or more of the following modules:

Banner Student

Admissions

Registration

Student Records

Accounts Receivable

Banner Finance

Financial Aid

HR or Payroll

Experience in requirement gathering, functional analysis, process mapping, configuration, testing, and production support.

Understanding of higher education and university business processes.

Experience preparing functional specifications, test cases, user guides, and process documentation.

Ability to coordinate effectively with business users and technical teams.

Robust analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Experience supporting Ellucian Banner implementations, upgrades, or SaaS migration projects.

Familiarity with Ellucian Ethos, Ellucian Experience, Data Connect, or related Ellucian products.

Experience working directly with universities or higher education institutions.

Knowledge of integrations between Banner and third-party applications.

Candidates currently based in Hyderabad will be preferred.

Education Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, Education Management, or a related discipline.
