Backend Developer (Node.js)

Job Summary

We are looking for a Backend Developer with 1–2 years of hands-on experience in building scalable and secure backend applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Node.js, Express.js, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB, along with experience in designing RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, maintain, and optimize backend applications using Node.js and Express.js.
- Design, build, and maintain RESTful APIs.
- Work with PostgreSQL and MongoDB for effective data storage and management.
- Design database schemas, write optimized queries, and improve database performance.
- Implement authentication and authorization using JWT.
- Integrate third-party APIs and external services.
- Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code.
- Debug, test, and optimize backend applications.
- Collaborate with frontend developers and QA teams.
- Participate in code reviews and follow coding standards.

Required Skills
- 1–2 years of experience in Backend Development.
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+).
- Hands-on experience with Node.js and Express.js.
- Good knowledge of PostgreSQL (joins, indexing, transactions, query optimization).
- Experience working with MongoDB and Mongoose.




- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs.
- Experience implementing JWT Authentication and authorization.
- Familiarity with Git/GitHub.
- Understanding of asynchronous programming using Promises and Async/Await.
- Good analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Prisma ORM or Sequelize.
- Knowledge of Redis or caching techniques.
- Familiarity with Docker and deployment workflows.
- Basic understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with WebSockets or Socket.IO is an added advantage.

Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
