Position Overview: We are looking for a Backend Developer to join our growing team and help build the core services behind our Battery Passport and Battery Analytics platforms. In this role, you will design and develop scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services and APIs that power data-driven web applications. You will primarily work with Node.js and AWS-based cloud infrastructure to build reliable systems that support real-time data processing, traceability, and analytics across the battery lifecycle.

You will collaborate closely with frontend developers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end features “from API design and implementation to deployment” with continuous improvement in a fast-paced and agile workplace.

Key Responsibilities: Contribute to the development of new features and enhancements for our web platform and back-end systems, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.

Architect and implement robust back-end services, APIs, and server-side logic. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers and product managers, to deliver exceptional user experiences.

Conduct code reviews across back-end codebases.

Troubleshoot and debug complex issues to optimize application performance.

Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our tech stack.

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment and testing processes.

Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure,



ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.

Maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or Bicep to automate infrastructure provisioning.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (Tier 1 or Tier 2 universities preferred).

1-3 years of hands-on backend development experience using Node.js in production environments, with exposure to microservices architecture.

Strong proficiency in back-end development with microservice architecture using Node.js.

Understanding of server-side technologies (Express.js, Nest.js, etc.)

Experience with databases (DynamoDB, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and infrastructure technologies (RabbitMQ/Kafka/SQS, Redis, ElasticSearch, AWS Cognito).

Proficiency with Docker for containerization and Kubernetes for orchestration.

Experience in writing unit and integration tests using Jest (or similar testing frameworks) is required.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline and AWS cloud services (S3, Cognito, API Gateway, ElasticSearch etc.)

Excellent problem-solving and debugging abilities.

Strong attention to detail - Effective communication and collaboration skills.

Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using Terraform or Bicep.

Experience with system monitoring and logging tools to track application performance, availability, and security.

Experience in front-end development with React (Redux, React Router, etc.) is a plus.
