Job Summary

We are looking for a Backend/Cloud/API Test Engineer with 710 years of experience in backend testing, API automation, and performance testing. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java, REST APIs, automation frameworks, CI/CD, and Azure fundamentals.

Key Responsibilities

- Test user stories and implement automated tests to ensure high-quality releases.
- Analyze requirements, identify risks, define test approaches, and contribute to story refinement.
- Review pull requests, verify code quality, and ensure sufficient unit test coverage.
- Design, document, and maintain functional and automated test scenarios.
- Identify gaps in test coverage and implement additional automated tests.
- Investigate customer issues using Azure, application logs, and observability tools.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts.
- Design and execute performance tests using JMeter.
- Define baseline performance metrics and evaluate system performance.
- Analyze performance test results, identify bottlenecks, and recommend improvements.
- Support application performance optimization through analysis,



reporting, and collaboration with engineering teams.

Mandatory Skills
- Java (Advanced – Java 17/21)
- REST APIs and backend testing knowledge
- API automation using Rest Assured and JUnit
- CI/CD integration using Maven or Gradle and GitHub Actions
- Design patterns and clean coding practices
- Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)
- Strong understanding of software quality practices, test automation, and performance testing methodologies
- Experience with performance testing concepts including workload design, baseline definition, bottleneck analysis, and optimization
- Solid programming skills in Java
- Experience building maintainable automation solutions
- Knowledge of system architecture
- Experience investigating issues using logs, monitoring, and observability tools
- Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Quality-focused approach with strong attention to test coverage and documentation
