Role Description This is a part-time hybrid Back End Developer role based in Chennai, with flexibility to work both on-site and from home.

The Back End

Developer will design, develop, and maintain server-side logic, APIs, and databases that power web and mobile applications.

Responsibilities include building scalable, secure back-end services, integrating front-end components, optimizing application performance, and troubleshooting production issues. The role involves collaborating with front-end developers, designers,



and product stakeholders to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, as well as writing clean, well-documented code and participating in code reviews. The developer will also help improve development workflows, contribute to architectural decisions, and ensure alignment with Brevia Tech’s standards for quality and scalability.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Back-End Web Development and general Programming, with experience building scalable, secure server-side applications.
- Proficiency in Software Development practices, including version control, testing, debugging, and deployment workflows.
- Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts and their application in contemporary back-end frameworks.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Front-End Development teams to create seamless end-to-end user experiences.
- Experience with at least one modern back-end language or framework (e.g., Node.js, Python/Django, Java/Spring, or similar).
- Knowledge of relational and/or NoSQL databases, RESTful APIs, and basic security best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a hybrid environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and performance optimization is an advantage.
