Insight Global is seeking a AWS Governance Engineer to support a large Software Development company out of Hyderabad, India. This will be a hybrid prospect. The Engineer will be responsible for establishing, governing, and operationalizing AWS cloud management capabilities across the enterprise.

This role serves as the primary subject matter expert for AWS governance, security controls, cloud account administration, access management, compliance monitoring, and cloud lifecycle processes. The position works closely with Engineering, Security, Identity, Compliance, Infrastructure, and Product teams to ensure AWS environments remain secure, compliant, auditable, and aligned with enterprise governance standards.

Responsibilities

· Serve as the primary AWS governance subject matter expert.

· Administer AWS Organizations, AWS Control Tower, IAM Identity Center, and CloudFormation governance capabilities.

· Define, implement, and maintain cloud governance policies, guardrails, and compliance controls.

· Drive cloud standardization initiatives across AWS environments.

· Support enterprise cloud governance strategy and operational execution.

· Maintain IAM roles, policies, and policy conditions in support of least-privilege access models

· Lead AWS account provisioning, onboarding, configuration, and decommissioning activities.

· Manage AWS organizational structure, account hierarchy, and root management capabilities.

· Ensure cloud environments align with enterprise standards and governance requirements.

· Manage cloud account and resource ownership

· Support governance reviews and security control implementation.

· Develop and maintain compliance monitoring solutions for AWS environments.

· Develop AWS Lambda, reporting, and data export capabilities supporting governance initiatives.

· Provide AWS consultation and guidance to engineering and operational teams.





· Support enterprise ownership, governance, and accountability processes for cloud resources.

· Maintain operational runbooks and handoff documentation.

· Develop governance standards, operational procedures, and supporting documentation.

Skills and Requirements

- 5-7 years of AWS IAM roles, policies, policy conditions, and least-privilege access models

- Hands-on experience managing governance and administration within AWS Control Tower and enterprise-scale multi-account AWS environments.

- Experience managing organizational structures and account hierarchies.

- Proficiency with AWS Lambda for governance automation, operational workflows, compliance monitoring, and remediation activities.

- Experience with CloudFormation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to deploy and maintain standardized cloud resources and governance controls.

- Experience partnering with security, compliance, and platform teams.
