This role is for one of the Weekday s clients Salary range Rs 700000 - Rs 1600000 ie INR 7-16 LPA Min Experience 7 years Location Pune JobType full-time We are seeking an experienced Automation Testing professional to design develop and implement robust automated testing frameworks and strategies across diverse technology environments The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in automation tools frameworks scripting and continuous integration with a passion for improving software quality and delivery efficiency This role requires a solid understanding of testing principles software development lifecycles and best practices in QA automation Requirements Key Responsibilities Test Automation Strategy Design and implement scalable and maintainable automation frameworks to support regression functional integration and performance testing Automation Framework Development Build enhance and maintain automation scripts using tools such as Selenium Cypress Playwright Appium TestNG or JUnit CI CD Integration Integrate automated test suites into CI CD pipelines e g Jenkins GitLab Bamboo or Azure DevOps to enable continuous testing Test Planning Execution Develop test plans create reusable scripts and execute automated test cases across different platforms browsers and devices Defect Management Identify log and track software defects to closure collaborating closely with development teams to ensure timely fixes and quality releases Performance API Testing Leverage automation for performance validation and API testing using tools like Postman Rest Assured JMeter or K6 Best Practices Standards Define and enforce QA automation best practices coding standards and documentation for long-term maintainability Collaboration Mentorship Partner with cross-functional teams developers product managers and manual testers to align testing objectives with business goals Mentor junior team members and drive automation adoption across teams Tool Evaluation Evaluate and recommend new automation tools technologies and approaches to improve efficiency and coverage Reporting Analytics Generate detailed test reports analyze automation results and provide insights into quality trends and risk areas Required Skills Qualifications Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field 7-20 years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on test automation Hands-on expertise in automation tools such as Selenium Cypress Playwright Appium or similar frameworks Proficiency in one or more programming scripting languages Java Python JavaScript C or TypeScript Experience with test management tools JIRA TestRail Zephyr and version control systems Git Bitbucket Solid understanding of CI CD pipelines Agile Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices Experience with API testing Postman Rest Assured and performance testing JMeter LoadRunner is a plus Strong analytical problem-solving and debugging skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with a proactive quality-first mindset Preferred Qualifications Experience in testing microservices cloud-native applications or enterprise systems Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes Exposure to AI ML-driven test automation tools is an advantage ISTQB or equivalent test automation certification preferred
