About The Role The role of a Smart Automations Platform Engineer at P&G; is pivotal in driving technological innovation within the company's Digital and IT transformation initiatives. Based in Hyderabad Office APAC PSC GDOP, this position involves leading and continuously enhancing the end-to-end service delivery for critical business processes on both regional and global levels, with a focus on automation platforms. The engineer will develop a comprehensive understanding of automation services and business requirements, ensuring that support models, Service Level Agreements (SLAs), and Operational Level Agreements (OLAs) are aligned with customer expectations.

This role emphasizes operational excellence through the application of ITIL and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) best practices, fostering efficiencies through standardization, automation, and simplification. Additionally, the engineer will lead crisis management during complex outages, oversee service quality, manage vendors,



and ensure seamless service transitions, all while supporting a cooperative, innovative work environment.

Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in platform engineering, automation, or similar roles.

Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Blue Prism, Knime, or Retool.

Proficiency with Azure cloud services and other cloud technologies.

Knowledge of ITIL and SRE methodologies.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with keen attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Proven ability to work collaboratively within teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities Engage in platform engineering activities for automation tools, ensuring optimal performance and security.

Develop and maintain automation solutions using Blue Prism, Knime, Retool, and other tools.

Gain and apply expertise in Azure services to support automation initiatives.

Contribute to establishing GitOps practices within the automation environment.

Drive the resiliency and security of automation platforms supporting critical business processes.

Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to platform users.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and implement platform enhancements accordingly.

Test, validate,



and document new features and updates for automation platforms.

Participate in incident management, including crisis response and outage resolution.

Ensure compliance with organizational standards and best practices in platform management.

Assist in planning and executing platform-related projects, adhering to timelines and quality standards.

Leverage SRE principles to optimize platform reliability, scalability, and performance.
