Job Title: Asst Mgr-Sun Contract

Experience: 10-20 years

(Subcontract management or machining operations preferably in heavy engineering or castings)

Qualifications: BE / B.Tech/Dip- Mechanical Engineering

Skills & Competencies:

Strong understanding of machining processes CNC (turning, boring, milling, etc.)

Familiarity with large casting materials (CI, SG Iron, castings)

Positive negotiation and communication skills

Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, S4 Hana)

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

Problem-solving and decision-making ability

Responsibilities:

1. Subcontract Management:

Identify, evaluate, and onboard subcontractors for machining of large castings.

Maintain an approved subcontractor list with capabilities, certifications, and past performance.

2. Production Coordination:

Plan and schedule machining jobs to subcontractors based on production priorities.

Ensure timely pickup, delivery, and follow-up of castings to and from subcontractors.

3. Technical Oversight:

Review machining drawings, tolerances, and technical requirements with subcontractors.

Support subcontractors in resolving technical queries and interpreting drawings.

4. Quality Assurance:





Ensure that subcontractors adhere to specified quality standards.

Coordinate with QA/QC team for inspections and approvals at subcontractor sites.

5. Cost and Budget Control:

Negotiate rates and maintain cost control for outsourced machining.

Monitor subcontracting costs against budget and raise concerns for overruns.

6. Documentation & Compliance:

Maintain proper documentation for all subcontracted work.

Ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO, safety norms).

7. Continuous Improvement:

Identify areas for process improvements and lead supplier development initiatives.

Track subcontractor performance using KPIs like on-time delivery, rejection rate, and lead time.

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
