The Associate Manager, Product Operations supports the end-to-end delivery of NMAT assessment programs and associated operational initiatives. The role is responsible for coordinating with internal stakeholders and external vendors, managing candidate and school-facing operational processes, supporting technical integrations, maintaining operational documentation, and driving issue resolution across the assessment ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
Assessment Operations Coordination
- Support operational readiness and delivery of assessment programs.
- Monitor registration, scheduling, score reporting, and candidate-facing processes.
- Participate in operational reviews and readiness sessions.
Vendor & Partner Coordination
- Act as a day-to-day operational liaison with technology, registration, customer support, and testing vendors.
- Track open issues, escalations, and service requests through closure.
- Review vendor deliverables and coordinate implementation of approved changes.
Candidate & School Operations
- Monitor candidate support and operational issues.
- Coordinate resolution of registration, payment, scheduling, and account-related issues.
- Support school-facing processes including candidate allocation, dashboard access, and data visibility requirements.
- Ensure timely communication and issue resolution for stakeholders.
Technical Operations & Integrations
- Support integrations involving registration platforms, payment systems, testing platforms, reporting systems, and partner applications.
- Coordinate testing, validation, and deployment activities with vendors and IT teams.
Quality Assurance & Testing
- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) and operational validation activities.
- Track defects and ensure timely remediation.
- Support release readiness reviews and production validation checks.
Process Documentation & Compliance
- Develop and maintain SOPs,
operational manuals, escalation matrices, and process guides.
- Maintain knowledge repositories for operational processes.
- Collaborate with internal teams across Product Operations, Customer Care, Technology, , and external partners.
- Provide timely status updates on operational initiatives and escalations.
- Facilitate meetings, follow up on action items, and drive issue resolution.
Test Security
- Review, prioritize, and investigate tips received about possible IP infringements; follow up with the appropriate level of urgency to resolve, and document findings and maintain accurate records of resolutions.
- Maintain a working knowledge of all policies and processes associated with test security for the assessment portfolio.
- Respond to security and policy violations through the case management system
Minimum Requirements:
- 5-7 years’ work experience in operations, program management, assessment delivery, education technology, customer operations, or related domains.
- Experience working with external vendors and third-party service providers.
- Excellent organizational, project planning, presentation and time management skills with careful attention to detail.
- Ability to manage daily operations of the function and prioritize work without direction.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and in a team setting, and across external and internal stakeholder groups.
- Solid analytical and problem-solving skills and multitasking capabilities.
- Ability to work in-office and remotely according to GMAC’s hybrid work environment.
Desired Skills/Experience:
- Experience in assessment, testing, certification, admissions, or higher education environments.
- Exposure to APIs, system integrations, and data flows.
- Experience with CRM, support ticketing, candidate management, or registration platforms.
- Familiarity with UAT, defect management, and release testing processes.
- Experience creating SOPs and operational documentation.
