Role Description The Assistant Professor will engage in full-time, on-site academic responsibilities at the Vapi campus. Day-to-day tasks include planning and delivering lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions aligned with program outcomes in areas such as polymers, AI, sustainability, and related fields. The role involves designing curricula and course materials, assessing student performance through assignments and examinations, and providing academic advising and mentoring.
The Assistant
Professor will participate in research and scholarly activities, contribute to departmental and university committees, and foster strong links with industry partners. Additional responsibilities include supporting accreditation processes,
engaging in continuous professional development, and contributing to outreach and academic events organized by the university.
Qualifications Advanced academic preparation (preferably a PhD ) in Polymer Engineering /Plastics Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, Sustainability, or a closely related discipline.
Strong teaching-related skills, including course planning, classroom and laboratory instruction, student mentoring, and fair, transparent assessment practices.
Research and scholarly capabilities, such as designing research projects, publishing in peer-reviewed journals, presenting at conferences, and pursuing grants or industry-funded projects.
Curriculum development and academic administration skills, including creating syllabi, aligning outcomes with industry needs, and contributing to accreditation and quality assurance activities.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in diverse, multicultural academic and industry environments.
Demonstrated interest in integrating technology and sustainability into teaching and research, and in building partnerships with plastics and allied industries.
Prior university-level teaching or relevant industry experience is highly beneficial; familiarity with outcome-based education and modern pedagogical methods is an advantage.
