Head-Planning within the projects team is therefore very crucial to ensure that all project activities are undertaken in a time bound manner. The candidate will therefore be a strong support to the Project
Manager in ensuring that all project activities are planned and executed according to schedules.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- A Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering & NICMAR with 5-7 years of experience in planning and coordinating with all departments for large construction projects (preferably residential multi-
storied apartment complex / townships).
- Operating Knowledge of Primavera / Microsoft Project.
- Knowledge of Critical Path Method and PERT
- Thorough knowledge of sequencing of activities in large real estate projects
- Valuable communication and influencing skills. Ability to network with all teams and function heads
Role and Responsibilities
- The candidate shall be responsible to provide planning, scheduling and monitoring details for the assigned project.
- The candidate will oversee schedule management activities, including review of internal schedules and review of contractor schedules along with the Project Manager.
- On behalf of the Project Manager, shall direct the sequencing of activities and process flow on the site.
- On behalf of the Project Manager, shall follow up with internal stakeholders for Design management,
procurement co-ordination, review of design, review of BOQs, specifications, preparation of cost estimates and quantity verification.
- Preparation of reports/presentations/MoMs/ RFPs, co-ordination with various external and internal stakeholders, preparation and tracking of daily / weekly / monthly schedules etc. are key day-to-day responsibilities
- The Head-Planning shall prepare the MIS reports in consultation with the Project Manager for circulation to the Board of Directors.
