Job Summary

To support its growth, John Cockerill Energy Solutions, headquartered in Belgium, is opening an office in Mumbai and is hiring a Structural Designer. Location - Mumbai, India. The Structural Designer is an employee responsible to issue the execution documentation for the scope of the Structural department of the Energy Business of John Cockerill, mainly steel structure, casing/ducting, stack, insulation works. He/She assures the delivery on time of General Arrangement, manufacturing, and erection drawings according to the milestones defined by the execution Project Teams. He/She is particularly responsible to deliver his/her work in conformity with internal quality standards as defined in the QMS (quality management system) of the Energy Business of John Cockerill.

The Structural Designer is responsible for the delivery of the execution documentation of the projects for the scope of the Structural Department under the hierarchical responsibility of the Structural Manager and the functional responsibility of the Structural Engineer with the following objectives:

- Respect of the Design Process as defined in the QMS of the Business,
- Technical conformity of the execution documentation to internal standards and contractual requirements,
- Supply of a quick and reliable service to the execution teams in order to respect the document and equipment contractual delivery schedules of projects.

Key Responsibilities

The duties of the Structural Designer are amongst others:
- Study of Inputs and other requirements




- Check the completeness of the inputs received from the Technical Project Manager in order to proceed to his/her work and if not, the RFI document should be created and send it to the concern person of the project.
- Issue the execution documentation (mainly all types of drawings) in compliance with internal standards and contractual requirements,
- Issue the execution documentation in compliance with administrative standards,
- Issue the reports like Assembly Part list (BOM), Material list (BOQ) bolt list etc
- Issue and update the standard technical documentation of the Structural Department,
- Keep his/her competencies updated with regards to the needs of the Energy Sector,
- Be proactive in the continuous improvement and REX processes.

Education Experience

- 2 to 4 years of relevant experience within an engineering context.
- BE - Civil / Structural
